Born in 1932, Richard Estes is a leading light of American Hyperrealism. He has used photographs as a support for the accuracy of his artworks since the 60's. The precision level is so high that the eye beholds more details than memory can give. In his art, human figures are absent and the focus is on modern urban landscapes, like Lakewood Mall.
