Building your art collection together

" Our passion for art in our daily life, in our interior and in our activities is what we wish to share with you. This passion for multiples, design, painting is at the heart of our selection and the center of our interests. Art animates us and we strive to convey our vision of life with art while accompanying you in this adventure which we started together almost ten years ago: shaping our collection and our life with art. "
                                                                                                       Lancelot & Goulven

The Pickle Society was created during the international lockdown(s) of 2020 - 2021. It’s a long thought-out project by two art lovers both bearing rather unusual first names: Goulven & Lancelot. It first originated from a desire to open up their generation to art and give everyone a chance to access the wonders it holds. The Pickle Society is a glimpse into their curated selection and a bridge between the North American and European art markets.

Former Head of the Editions, Prints and Multiples Department of Parisian auction house PIASA (2017-2020), Goulven entered the department as junior specialist in 2015. His dual training - a Master's degree in Law at the University of Bretagne Occidentale and a research Master’s degree in Art History at La Sorbonne Paris - gives him a comprehensive appreciation of the auction world. During his time as Head of the Editions Department he put together classic Editions auctions with prints by Picasso, Basquiat, Miró, Andy Warhol, David Shrigley and other big shot artists. He worked on collections as well, such as Sonia Delaunay, Sam Francis, or Picasso ceramics.

Lancelot is a former associate of Galerie Patrice Trigano, a renowned modern and contemporary art gallery in Paris. After attending high school in Canada, he moved to Paris and graduated from both La Sorbonne with a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and ICART with an MBA in Cultural engineering & art management.
He worked on several major exhibitions of various internationally-acclaimed artists such as César, Mel Ramos, Séraphine de Senlis or André Derain along with French intellectual painters like Henri Michaux or Maurice Lemaître. During his years at the gallery he was also in charge of organizing participation in European art fairs like TEFAF Maastricht, BRAFA (Brussels) and Art Paris.
